Field explores the ways landscapes—both physical and psychological—shape memory, narrative, and identity. Developed during my residency with Artica Svalbard, in the northernmost inhabited region on Earth, the project responds to the stark beauty, shifting climate, and layered histories of the Svalbard and Jan Mayen Archipelago. Immersed in this remote environment during the spring and summer of 2025, I began a new body of work that extends my ongoing inquiry into place, memory, and environmental change. Building on the visual language of earlier series such as Majestic and Crossing, Field reflects on the fragility of our relationship to the land—and to one another—through layered, hand-crafted imagery that bridges distant geographies and evokes both personal and planetary narratives.
